I just wanna reply to some things here. As you say im a softcore pirate, right now, im fine with the way things are, im happy, sure its not as good as it used to be, but hey, I got used to it.
But what brought it up was the fact going around that jump ins will be random hense eliminating piracy in empire space, sure you will still have the asteriod belt raiding newb pirates but I tell you one thing, I wont be in empire space. Then it will be boring 0.0 space, with no traffic at all, maybe 1 ship per hour. Now come on, is that fair for pirates?
So then I suggested something. REMOVE Sentry guns at gates TEMPORARILY, I didn't say permanitly, from .4 space and lower systems until you have pushed people out of empire space and into 0.0 space, Make 0.0 space trade routes and Empire space - non-empire space trade routes, mining ops in .4 space and lower.. Get people outa .5+ space.
When you do push people outa secured systems, then you can have the sentry guns back, thats fine with me.
Then you say that im pushing the boundaris and am a past exploiter, I dont know the game mechanics jade, I didn't know it was a exploit until I was warned by a GM and then I got temp-banned over 1 kill 20 minutes after the warning was sent, not 5 kills, not 3 kills, 1 kill. There are reasons why I did that 1 last kill, one being simply because I didnt read the warning until after it was sent, I don't check my eve mail all the time because its full of hate mail.
I play this game to the fullest. Our last resort is jump in points and to succesfully pirate u need lag, its a known tactic used everywhere. Everyone uses it, not only pirates, Venal uses it, Fountain uses it EVERYONE USES IT. If there wasnt this much lag, there wouldnt be so many kills, is that our fault? No, its not, we dont have control of lag... unless of coarse with ur connection, 56k, cable, dsl, t1.... but theres still 'eve' lag or computer cpu lag.
I try to use everything along the rules in this game, I will not give off a nudge. I will try everything thats not against the rule book to kill you guys. Wether it be mines or drones. IF its that much of a problem, take em out ccp. Until you do, i will make use of them.
